           Therapist | Clinical Supervisor

EMDR trauma therapist

Heather Crampton is the Founder and Clinical Director of Anchor of Hope Counseling and Clinical Supervision, PLLC. She brings over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, with more than 11 years of professional practice as a licensed therapist and over 8 years of experience as a clinical supervisor.

Heather is trained in evidence-based and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Her clinical expertise includes trauma and PTSD, mood disorders, and personality disorders. She provides services to adults ages 18 and older.

Heather’s passion for mental health work began early in life, inspired by her mother’s leadership of a foster care group home for abused and neglected girls. This foundation shaped her lifelong commitment to supporting individuals who have experienced trauma and adversity, as well as those who have encountered barriers to accessing care.

She has a special interest in working with veterans navigating the impact of PTSD and complex trauma. Heather’s clinical approach emphasizes compassion, ethical practice, and evidence-based treatment, with a focus on empowering clients to achieve meaningful and lasting change.

Anchor of Hope was co-founded by Heather and her husband with the vision of expanding access to high-quality mental health services and creating a practice grounded in professionalism, integrity, and hope. As a clinical supervisor, Heather is dedicated to mentoring emerging clinicians and upholding strong clinical standards within the profession.
